Once upon a time, there was a girl who loved recess. She used to play with the big red bouncy ball all by herself, because none of the other kids liked her. She would bounce the ball against the wall of her school over and over again.
Every day at recess she would go to the same spot and bounce the ball. One day, she had an idea. Her teachers were always saying how even the smallest things could make a huge impact. A butterfly's wing could cause a typhoon half way across the world. So why couldn't she make an impact. She thought and thought and thought. She kept bouncing the ball.
Then she got it. If she bounced the ball hard enough and long enough, maybe she'd be able to move the school across the street.
All day, every day, even on weekends, the girl would hit the ball against the wall harder and harder. After months and months of doing so, the girl thought she was making no effort, only getting a little older.
But she kept at it.
Then one day, after she had thrown the ball against the wall as hard as she could, she heard a crash coming from the front end of the school. She ran around, and smiled wide to see that a window had busted out of the wall. She was making some effort. She turned around and ran back to the place where she was bouncing the ball. She would move the school eventually.
A few weeks later she learned that the window had busted out because a teacher had flung herself out of the window.
The end.
