fairy tales.

Once upon a time there lived a princess. This princess had many suitors. One suitor could play the guitar and sing. But she didn't want him. One suitor could make her laugh without even trying. But she didn't want him. One suitor could provide her with every thing she ever wanted in the world. But she didn't want him. She didn't want any of him.

One day, after sitting alone, the princess went all emo and climbed the highest tower and locked her self away. She was tired of the heartache, and wanted to be left alone.

On that same day, the emo princess's long lost friend, who also happened to be a princess of a neighboring land, came to see her. When the emo princess looked down from her tower to look, she instantly fell in love with her. When the other princess looked up at her old friend, she fell in love as well. Emo princess was still locked in her tower, so they never had a chance to meet, but the not so emo princess (we'll just call her the pretty one) was determined to get her down. She constructed a communication line with a really long string and two tin cans. She tossed one up to the emo princess and walked back to her castle to sit in her own room.

That night, and just about every night afterwards, the princesses would fall asleep together, talking on their tin cans. Emo princess confessed her love to the pretty one, and the pretty one loved her back. That night, after the pretty one had fallen asleep, emo princess climbed out of her tower and followed the string to the pretty princess's castle. She walked for hours, until finally reaching her love's room. Without knocking (because, she never did), emo princess crawled into pretty princess's bed and fell asleep with her.

The next morning, pretty princess woke up and smiled. When emo princess woke up to see her, she wrapped her arms around the other and held her close. It was the happiest she had ever been.

the end.
